THE TOUR Championship

Dates: Monday, October 30th to Sunday November 5th, 2006

Location: East Lake Golf Club, 2575 Alston Drive, SE, Atlanta, GA 30317, USA. Tel: 404.373.5722 (clubhouse) or 404.378.8687 (championship office)

Ticketing: Tickets for the TOUR Championship are available online at the PGA Tour's website. The weekly grounds pass is $129, and daily tickets cost between $39 and $49 on competition days.

Road connections: The course is on the eastern side of Atlanta, off the I-20, and the club's website has driving directions. Parking for the tournament is at Turner Field - free with a free shuttle bus to the championship. See the PGA Tour's site for more parking information and directions.
Bus/rail: The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority runs bus and rail connections around the city. East Lake Station is on the East line out of Five Points station, and on bus lines 22, 24 and 123.
Air: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International is 14 miles southwest of the course and serves all major national, international and regional destinations (it's the busiest passenger airport in the world!). Leave the airport north on the I-85 or I-75 to reach the I-20. There are shuttle services to major hotels.

Accommodation and facilities: Atlanta.com has a hotel booking engine, as does the official tourism site. There are some hotel recommendations on the East Lake website (under the "area attractions" link).

Local sights and sounds: Find a city guide at Atlanta.com and Atlanta.net, and there's also visitor information at the city's own website. The club's website also has a list of things to see in the area. Notable attractions include tours of the CNN center, and the World of Coca-Cola.
