Road connections: Castle Rock is midway between Denver and Colorado Springs on the I-25. Look for tournament signs at the appropriate exits. The tournament's website has info on parking arrangements and a road map.
Air: The nearest major airport is Denver International, which is just 45+ miles away and served by major national and international airlines. The website also has details of bus and shuttle services direct to Castle Rock. You can also get domestic US flights to Colorado Springs Airport, which is also about 45 miles from the town.

Accommodation and facilities: The Convention and Visitors Bureaus of Denver and Colorado Springs have extensive accommodation listings for those two cities, which are within striking distance of the tournament. For more local accommodation, try the Chamber of Commerce pages.

Local sights and sounds: Castle Rock is the administrative center of Douglas County, with its many parks and natural resources. You'll find general information about the area from the Chamber of Commerce and the town's own home page. But of course the major cities of Denver and Colorado Springs are also a short drive away.

Tournaments before and after: Buick Open ... PGA Championship.

Location and event tips: There are Pro-Am tournaments on the Monday and Wednesday. Unlike most PGA Tour events, this tournament uses a modified Stableford scoring method which rewards aggressive play. For example, you get 2 points for a birdie, but are only docked one point for a bogey. Let me know if you have any more tips.
