Ticketing: Sony Open tickets can be bought at the gate or from selected outlets in Hawaii itself. For details, see the official website (May not be 2007-ready). Prices are usually low, with daily tickets in 2006 costing $10 in advance or $15 at the gate. A weekly pass was $50 at the gate.

Road connections: The country club is on the Maunalua Bay in southeast Honolulu, right at the eastern end of the H1 road that passes through the city.
Air: Honolulu International is the main hub for flights from the continental USA and between the islands. It's about 10 miles west up the coast from the tournament site.

Accommodation and facilities: The Hilton Hawaii resort complex is the official resort sponsor, but obviously there's no shortage of local accommodation in Honolulu and elsewhere on the island. The Oahu Visitors Bureau has a huge list of places to stay, as well as links to booking and reservation services.

Local sights and sounds: The island's tourist site has an events calendar and a host of links on activities and attractions. The City and County of Honolulu site also has information and suggestions for visitors, as well as details of the city's culture and history. Needless to say, there are one or two nice beaches in the region.

Tournaments before and after: The Mercedes Championships ... Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.
