Ticketing: A Shell Houston Open ticket for Wednesday to Sunday coss $75 in 2006, with daily passes costing $20 for Wednesday or Thursday and $25 for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Once ticket sales for 2007 open up, you should be able to purchase online through the official site.

Road connections: The tournament is located in northeast Houston, about 10 miles from the center, just off Beltway 8 and east of the 59. Brief directions to the tournament site are given at the bottom of this page. There is public parking with a bus shuttle at nearby locations - see here for details.
Air: The big airport in Houston is the George Bush Intercontinental, with flights all over the USA and elsewhere. It's just a couple of miles away, west on Beltway 8.

Accommodation and facilities: You've various options in terms of finding somewhere to stay. Humble hotels are listed here and the nearby airport has its own list. Local sights and sounds: Small town, nothing much to see. Or possibly not. There's a directory of Houston attractions here, which includes such delights as the Grand Opera (playing Carmen), Space Center, or Museum of Fine Arts.
