Ticketing: This is a new event for 2007, so the ticket situation is not yet clear at the time of writing. The CA Championship replaces the American Express Championship as part of the World Golf Championships series, and has a new permanent home at the Doral Golf Resort. The latter was the home to the Ford Championship, which is no longer on the tour schedule.
Road connections: The Doral resort is on the west side of Miami, sandwiched between the 826 and 821 (the Florida Turnpike). The resort's website has driving directions (but look for official parking signs - there is likely to be a complimentary bus shuttle service to the main entrance from parking lots).
Air: Miami International is just a few blocks to the east of the WGC event and serves destinations throughout the USA and the world.
Accommodation and facilities: The resort has its own rooms and suites of course. But Miami's not short of a hotel or two. Local accommodation lists are provided by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau. Look for the "locations" pull-down menu at the top of the page and select "Airport Area" for lodgings close to the tournament.
Local sights and sounds: I probably don't need to enlighten you on the many delights offered by the city of Miami. Take a look at the official visitor's guide. Note that you're also very close to the Everglades National Park. Other attractions include the Seaquarium, Miami Beach and Key Biscane, among many others.
