Ticketing: There are numerous ticket options available (all include parking), but the basic options include single-day access on a tournament day from $30 and seven-day access from $125, depending on when and what you buy. Road connections: The tournament takes place just northwest of Washington DC in Montgomery County. You'll find it just southwest of where the I-270 and I-495 come together. The TPC at Avenel site has detailed driving directions and there's parking and shuttle service info here.
Rail: Potomac is on the T2 River Road bus line from Washington (take the Red line Metrorail to Friendship Heights and change).
Air: The area has three decent-sized airports nearby, including Baltimore / Washington International (40 miles to the northeast), Washington Dulles International (23 miles to the west), and Ronald Reagan Washington National (18 miles to the southeast).
Accommodation and facilities: There's an online directory of places to stay in Potomac and surrounding Montogomery County at the local visitors bureau site. Given the proximity to Washington DC, you might consider a hotel in the capital.
Local sights and sounds: Montgomery County has its own tourist site, which includes a list of public golf courses. Of course, there are one or two things to see and do in nearby Washington DC, such as visit the Smithsonian or check up on how the President is doing at the Whitehouse.
