Ticketing: Barclays Classic tickets are available online or by phone. Information is available from the official sponsor's site. A daily ticket for any day Thursday to Sunday costs, for example, $35 in advance or $40 on the day.

Road connections: The country club is in the northeast of New York city, close to the Connecticut border, and just off the I-287 at Junction 10 going East. There are directions to the tournament's free parking areas here (a free shuttle runs spectators from parking to the tournament).
Rail: The Metro North Railroad serves Westchester from NYC. The New Haven line has stops at Rye, Harrison and Port Chester, all of which are close to Westchester Country Club.
Air: There is no shortage of airport facilities in the region. Westchester County Airport is a small commercial facility just 8 miles to the north. New York's airports are further afield: Newark Liberty International (48 miles southwest), LaGuardia (25 miles south) and JFK (32 miles south).

Accommodation and facilities: The Barclays Classic takes place in the south of Westchester County, which has its own tourist website with a directory of accommodation. Rye is also close to Connecticut's Fairfield County, so check out the listings at that county's website, too.

Tournaments before and after: Memorial tournament ... US Open

Location and event tips: The tournament used to be known as the Buick Classic and is a few short miles from the venue of the 2006 US Open which takes place the following week. Let me know if you have any tips.
