"Just read David Toms comments about the Masters rules. Where does he get off thinking he is 'better' than the "fans, media, volunteers and staff?" Does he not realize that without each of these people there would be no tournaments anywhere? I'm truly sorry he did not feel like "the most important thing there." The Masters has survived the passing of many true legends through its gates; Jones, Nelson, Hogan, Palmer, and Nicklaus. I am sure Mr. Toms will not be missed if he chooses not to come back to the Masters because he does not like the rules..." (April 13th, 2006)

COMMENTS FROM 2005 AND EARLIER:

Jack Dibble says:
"David is the favorite of our 705th Tank Destroyer Battalion. His grandfather, Tom E. Toms commanded our "C" Company supporting the 101st Airborne Division in the siege of Bastogne. David shows the same character and skill that made his grandfather a great leader (and also a great golfer)."

Vince from Dallas, TX writes:
"You are the nicest golfer and very humble. I hope you will win more."

Mac says:
"David Toms - you're the best. I want to be just like you. Come to Valdosta, Georgia and look me up. Mac Mcquaig - look up that."

Jane from RI writes:
"He's just a cool guy and I like his hair"

...and another RI golfer says:
"He's got such a friendly personality. And he seems so relaxed when he's playing, like he's just having a good time. The only reason I watch golf is because of him and I try to copy his swing. Good sense of style too. David Toms, you're my hero!"
