"I met Steve and Niki at the Cialis Western Open. My mom is best friends with him and she told me that I could go golfing with him and I was so excited. I saw the little baby and she looks just like her dad. I think anyways Steve is a great guy and a great golfer." (Aug 31, 2006)
Terry Lampiris from Milwaukee, WI says:
"I was fortunate to meet Steve Stricker and Nikki in 1993 at the Greater Milwaukee Open. Every year after that for a decade, I walked the first nine with Steve's mother and cheered him on. I have always admired his personality, his good manners and the example he sets for his life. I hurt when he faltered in recent years, and am very happy to see his success this year. Hope he has a win and several more top tens: he is a very solid player and person. Look for him full-time on the tour next year." (May 24, 2006)

"I have been a Steve Stricker fan ever since meeting him in person about 9 years ago. Steve is just the type of guy that people from Wisconsin enjoy and will continue to cheer for. I have followed his every move on tour and look forward to him on top of the leaderboard again soon.

"Steve and Nicki were in Edgerton about 8 years ago when the local home course dedicated the new back 9.
Was a hot Summer day and my wife and daughter came along. We needed water and a camera. I went back home to get the camera and my wife went down the hill to Kwik Trip convenience store to get water. When she was heading down the hill Steve and Nicki were coming out of Steve's parents home which is near the course. My daughter was hot and crying. Steve and Nicki made a point of crossing the street and attempting to comfort my daughter. I believe it was that "Random act of Love" as Al Jarreau puts it (also a Wisconsin native) that converted me to a diehard fan. Shortly after that Steve and Nicki found out that they too were going to have a child, Bobbi Maria. I like to think that my daughter had something to do with them trying for a child. Well anyway
it's a nice thought! I pray for Steve's continued success. He is a wonderful man that deserves God's richest blessings."

"I watched Steve hit balls at Cherokee Country Club with flawless percision. Steve had gone to the Cobalt irons by Arnold Palmer's group, and it was a thing of beauty. I hope he stops tinkering with clubs, and goes back to those clubs even if he is not paid to play them. Steve should be easily in the top 50 every year with dedication, and he has the home front support from his wife Nicki."

"Steve is just a good guy. End of story."

"When he's on, which he will be again. His tough-as-nails putting skills will put him in contention in another major one day soon."

"Steve plays at our local club a couple times a year that his brother is a member of at Lake Ripley Country Club. He is just like one of the guys. Maybe Steve needs a little more intensity to be more aggressive."

"I have been watching Steve ever since he joined the tour. This year and last have been rough. I just wonder about his driving off the tee. It seems to not be getting much better. What is he doing to try to fix the problem?"

"I met Steve when I volunteered as a walking scorer at a Canadian Tour event. He was a genuine gentleman, and when I saw him on the practice range at the same tournament a year later, he remembered me, and we chatted briefly."
