Mickael from Paris, France says:
"I had the chance to meet Steve Pate at The Open in Birkdale and in St Andrews. My friend went to UCLA with him in college. I went back to the Open in Sandwich but I didn't see him. I would love to be in contact with him again via e mail. Truly nice guy and a great golfer."

Michael Meiertöns Detmold from Germany says:
"I watch your career since 1991. I am great fan from Germany. It is fantastic to get the Tour card 2004 back. I hope to meet you on a tournament and have a small talk with you. All the best wishes from Michael."

"I had the pleasure to meet Steve a few years ago at Kemper Lakes near Chicago. He started to hit balls like most professionals would do, but he then decided to give us all a personal lesson. His comments about my swing have helped me shave off at least 5 to 6 shots from my normal score. We got to play the par 3 17th with him and he was just like my playing partners. He is a great credit to the sport.

Congratulations on getting your card back, Steve."

"I have had the pleasure of hanging out with this guy many times. He is a hilarious guy who takes a lot about his old age in golf and joining the "senior tour" soon. lol - awesome guy."

Rob C. from Western Ma. says:
"I had the pleasure of watching Steve at the Canon Greater Hartford Open a few years ago. At the time I was struggling with my own golf swing. I feel that Steve's early wrist cock helps set the club on plane eliminating a lot of excess movement. A real simple move but very effective."

COMMENTS FROM 2002:

Ed P. from GA writes:
"Golfers like S. Pate are the heart of professional golf. He's seems more like the everyday guy at the local club who has made the big time. While he's not having a banner year, he continues to grind it out. Pate also gives a honest interview. I've followed him during several events in Georgia. I just like his style."
