Steve Locaputo from Syracuse, NY says:
"I was at the PGA Championship in Rochester Sunday August 17th. There were very few players signing autographs for the kids after their round of golf. Phil Michelson signed autographs for about an hour after his round of golf that day. He is really a good ambassador for the game of golf. It's people like that who really can make a lasting impression on a young child. Thanks Phil."

Lorry from Florida writes:
"I think Phil is the greatest human being in the sport of golf. He has great humility and great family. I understand his family comes first before golf and this is a true christian. You will one day win great tours. "Hang in there Phil" - this comes from an aged woman who played golf forty years ago."

Dan B. from Missouri adds:
"In my mind, Phil Mickelson is a tremendous quiet ambassador for all professional golfers. I have personally witnessed him stop in the middle of his round and sign a glove for a youngster that he recognized from the previous day.

On last night's Battle of the Bridges, I saw him acknowledging youngsters while he walked between holes with his playing partner, Sergio Garcia. This is an image professional golfers should emulate as opposed to the smug, arrogance that many of them portray. Way to go, Phil."

A Phil Fan from Michigan says:
"Phil Mickelson in my opinion is the most talented player I've ever seen. How he uses his talent is the biggest question. Phil doesn't need to be hitting the ball 330 yards on every par 4, and hitting less than 50% of the fairways. In fact Phil is 183rd in driving accuracy, that's nearly dead last, which is horrible for the man who should be the number 2 player in the world.

Phil, let me give you some advice, steel shafts, stiff shafts, and less drives. If Phil is going to try and become the world's best player he must hit more fairways and sacrifice a little difference.

It's alright Phil, you'll only be averaging 300 yards off the tee instead of 315!!! DO THE SMART THING PHIL, AND YOU'LL START WINNING MAJORS!!!"

Doug Keane, Plano, TX writes:
"After the death of Payne Stewart, Phil is one of the few left with personality, charm and wit and talent. Unfortunaely, as fans we need to see more of him and that takes sacrifice on his part.

He needs to settle for 300 yard drives and hitting 10 of 14 fairways instead of 325 and 4 of 14. If our champion feels the need for maximum power, sport a fake mustache, assumed name and enter the Remax Long Drive competition. After Phil, golf's legacy looks like a bunch of Stepford Wives who have no clue how to interact with humans."

James from the UK says:
"Come on Phil. You can demonstrate that I am right and you are the best second ranked player of all time. That's no insult - Tiger is special, but you are a great player and MUST win several majors. It's also obvious that you are one of the nicest guys on the tour and you deserve every ounce of the further success you still have to achieve."

The Silent Majority writes:
"Hats off to Phil, he is a stand-up guy. A man unafraid to voice his opinions and stand behind his beliefs. Phil is the John Wayne of the golf course. He is what makes America great. His treatment by the media should cause us all to pause. You go Phil, we love you."

Morgan B from California says:
"Despite the critics' opinion of him, I think that Phil Mickelson is one of the greatest to play the game. Not many have the game to skip a ball across a pond or hit flop shots over a guy's head when he is three feet in front of you.

He has got that go for broke attitude that makes golf so exciting and makes people want to play more. Majors are great but not many active PGA Tour players have 20 wins under their belt."

A visitor writes:
"So he's never won a major, so what? The measure of a true champion is not how many times he wins but rather how he conducts himself on the golf course. Phil is a champion despite what the media has said about his ability to win the "big One" and this is so because he is not just a great athlete but also a great father and a model citizen.

I was at the United States Open and on Saturday when he was walking up to the 17th green the gallery chanted "Let's Go Mickelson" and on Sunday they even gave him several rounds of happy birthday. Phil has a great family and has good priorities. While Tiger wins majors in our vision, Phil wins in our hearts."
