Peter Murphy in Cornwall, PEI writes:
"I had the chance to play in Lorie's Charity event this past week in Charlottetown, PEI and I must say it was the most fun round of golf I have played in a long time. Lorie it is nice to see that your celebrity has not gone to your head and you have become such a great role model for many young ladies my daughter included. Thank you very much so keep smilin and with that new sponsor of yours (CN Rail) keep cha cha chugging along!!" (Sep 16, 2006)
Smith in Brockville, Ontario says:
"I just finished watching you play your second round at the 2006 Evian Masters. I think you look absolutely terrific since you lost so much weight. Your golf swing seems to have improved along with your appearance." (July 27, 2006)

"It's great to be down here in the U.S. and watch someone from the island
do so well on the tour. Go get 'em Lorie-- from an islander from
"upwest" who's now "from away!"..."

"I was just looking for a website on Lori Kane. Couldn't find
one but found this page. Just heard she had changed putters and was
playing well. I'll be rooting for her, as I always do. She's a
great golfer and she WILL win again."
Barb Hunter, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada writes:
"Congratulations on becoming a member of the order of Canada. Highest honor a Canadian can achieve.
Lorie is the best. I am Kanadian!!"
Jay from Connecticut says:
"I was a hole marshall at the Open and wanted to thank Laurie for her marvelous rapport with the gallery. She was the only golfer I saw who tried to connect with the spectators even signing some autographs. The open had a theme of "catch the spirit" to try to involve young people in the game and Laurie was their best ambassador. Keep up the class act Laurie."
Mark D. in Virginia writes:
"Can someone tell me if Lorie's OK? I've noticed that she was not in the Sybase Classic nor the LPGA Corning Classic and I didn't see her name again this weekend in the
ShopRite Classic? She has the best swing in the LPGA Tour and I never get tired of her gorgeous eyes and smile or watching her play. Haven't heard anything out of her camp. Hope all is well? Please advise....Thanks."
(Editor's note: Hi Mark - she did play in the ShopRite Classic,
finishing tied in 52nd place at two over par.)
Bob Skerkowski from Renfrew, Ontario says:
"It seems you are not able to close a tournament lately and win it. I can't believe you shot a 79 in the last round of the last tournament you played. You must be doing something different since the year you won 3 times. I hope you can figure out your problems and start winning again. I cheer for 2 people in golf......you and Mike Weir and Mike seems to be having problems of his own lately since winning the Nissan. Anyways, take care and if it's true about good things coming to those who wait then good things should come to you because you have waited long enough since your last
victory. Keep smiling and enjoying what you do for a living."
Lefty from Calgary
suggests:
"Lorie needs to concentrate on golf...she's too comfortable...and has lost the will to win."
A visitor writes:
"I love Lorie... she is a good person!! She's my aunt - I love you!!"
COMMENTS FROM 2003:
Shawn O'B from Halifax
says:
"I went to school with Lorie. She has not changed at all. Warm,
caring and genuine. She is a sterling player but an even greater
person. A tribute to PEI."
Sharon D. from Augusta
tells us:
"I like her fluid golf swing, her patience, her positive attitude, the way she seems to enjoy the sport, the way she treats other players and how kind she is to the gallery. She is a terrific golfer and a wonderful person."
