Don from Idaho notes:
"Scott, haven't seen you on the tour this year. What is up????" (June 7, 2006) (Editor's note: I think he's recovering from a wrist injury that dates back to last year)
COMMENTS FROM 2004:
A visitor says:
"Scott, do yourself a favor, if you don't want to play links style courses fine...but to
keep hearing you complain about them is getting a little old...we know they are
different, a little tough, not the ordinary. As fans quite frankly it's nice to see you guys have some trouble..."
Bryan
writes:
"Scott has recently just shown that he is a proven veteran by finishing tied for 7th at Harbour Town and 2nd in Houston at a time when he is trying to play his way into the majors. He moved from 92nd in money to 26th, and
from 75th in the world to 41st in these two weeks and led the field in birdies for both events. Everyone says that Jay Haas deserves a Ryder Cup berth, but Scott is also deserving and he played well when the Open was at Oakland Hills last. It just goes to show that experience pays dividends out there on the PGA Tour."
Paul B from Naples/McLean,
VA says:
"Have always enjoyed your approach to the game and would hope that you had seen the positive article on you written by Tom Hanson in the Naples News. Look forward to seeing your name on future leader boards."
Bryan Dow writes:
"Easily the most underrated golfer of the modern era. He leads in career top tens and only 7 players have amassed more $ than him over their career. My family and I have gotten to know Scott and his family over the years because, thankfully, he includes the Greater Milwaukee Open in his schedule and has won it twice. We have been out for dinner with him and had him over for dinner. Scott is a class act, and he and Sally have raised their children well! We can hardly wait for another GMO and the PGA is close to us too this year."
Paul from New Jersey
says:
"Truly a great golfer with the guts to say and do what he feels is right..At 48 he still can compete and will likely deposit another million or so in the bank...Ask him a question and you'll get an answer....Ms. Wie and Ms. Sorenstam are terrific golfers and should use that talent to go to Q school and earn their way on the tour like everbody else. Not all golfers make a million a year..some play to just pay the bills and....they should not lose that opportunity to someone who hasn't earned it and in both the ladies' cases, don't need the money."
David from NY wrote in to point out that Scott Hoch wasn't too enamored of Michelle Wie playing in the Sony Open, and was pretty down about her chances of performing well, and subsequently ended up one shot behind her after the two rounds (both missed the cut).
