T.Henshaw, Sheffield, England writes:
"Luke Donald is my idol. I build my entire game on his. My swing is exactly the same as his. It works...I'm a 5 handicapper and I have just turned 15. I hope to get down to scratch and become a professional like Luke. It won't be long till I'm in your 3-ball Luke!!!" (Aug 11, 2006)

COMMENTS FROM 2005:

Josh.S from Flackwell Heath says:
"I am a junior member at Hazlemere, where Luke grew up. He is my idol and it is my dream to be just like him. I have just turned 12, I am a 16 handicapper. I would love to meet a great player like him."

Talon from England writes:
"Luke is fantastic. He is so down to earth and a wonderful golfer. He will become famous in 5 years!"

Tom Tryon from Beaconsfield, England says:
"I am a member at Beaconsfield Golf Club in England, where he grew up and is an honorary member. I follow his progress avidly and I have to say that he is just so consistent; he rarely gets bogeys, and he doesn't get many 62's.

But what he is so good at, and why I think he has the game for a major, is consistently playing rounds in 67 or 68. He very rarely is over par. I also couldn't help but notice that this year he has only missed the cut once. On all the other times he has made the cut, he has not finished outside the top 13.

Watch out for Luke this year, especially in the US Open. He's shown us he can handle the pressure in the Masters and the Players Championship, so for the remaining three majors this year and all the majors for the next few years, he is a player to look out for. A superb player and a future major winner and possible world no. 1."

Susan H. from Derry, N. Ireland writes:
"What a star for the future! I'm sure he'll win a major soon. He was fab in the European Ryder Cup team and the World Cup with Paul Casey. Hopefully, both Luke Donald and Paul Casey will make it into the team for the 2006 Ryder Cup at the K Club. I loved watching them play foursomes in the World Cup. They're a definite world class pairing for future Ryder Cups!"
